Artificial intelligence is an assistance tool: it may extract, organise and suggest, but must not replace Scout responsibility for ratings or human review of material decisions.
1. AI functions
The platform may use AI to read receipts, identify storefront data, suggest text structures, normalise information, detect possible duplicates and support administrative work.
2. Transparency
Where users directly interact with AI or receive substantially AI-generated content, the interface should make the role of AI understandable when it is not already obvious from context.
3. Human rating
AI does not autonomously assign a Scout’s personal rating. Review scores must result from the user’s choice.
4. Writing assistance
AI may organise notes or propose a draft but must not invent dishes, facts, feelings, people, prices or events not supplied. Scouts are responsible for reviewing and approving text before publication.
5. OCR and images
Receipt/storefront extraction can be wrong. Business name, VAT, amounts, date, address and other fields must be verified before being treated as reliable data.
6. Assisted moderation
Automated models may help classify risk or priority but are not conclusive evidence. Disputed decisions with material impact may receive human review.
7. Personal data
AI inputs and outputs are processed under the Privacy Policy. Unnecessary sensitive or third-party data must not be uploaded. AI providers are assessed contractually and for privacy/security.
8. Security and prompts
Attempts to use AI features to extract secrets, keys, internal prompts, other users’ data or bypass security controls are prohibited.
9. Limitations
AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated and are not binding legal, medical, tax or technical advice.
10. AI Act
Italia Quality applies relevant obligations under Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 according to its role and use case, including applicable transparency duties. New AI systems require prior assessment of purpose, risk, data and human control.
11. Evolution
Models and providers may change. Material changes to purposes or risks trigger updates to governance documentation and safeguards.
