Moderation protects freedom of expression, community reliability, business rights and legal duties through proportionate and documentable measures.
1. Moderated objects
Reviews, photos, profiles, public names, business replies, comments, reports, events, ads and other hosted content may be moderated.
2. Grounds for action
Content may be restricted for illegality, manifest defamation, unnecessary personal data, copyright infringement, threats, hate, spam, fraud, inauthentic reviews, undisclosed conflicts, ranking manipulation or policy violations.
3. Contextual assessment
Disagreement or negativity alone is not a removal ground. Context, precision, factual basis, language, public interest, affected rights, available evidence and applicable law are considered.
4. Measures
- No action where a report is unfounded.
- Request for clarification or additional evidence.
- Temporary restriction or de-indexing.
- Redaction of personal data or specific portions where technically and legally appropriate.
- Content removal.
- Account restriction or suspension for abuse or repeated violations.
5. Priority
Safety risks, threats, highly sensitive data, authority orders and manifestly illegal content may be prioritised.
6. Automation
Automated or AI signals may help detect duplicates, anomalies or priorities. Such signals are not conclusive proof and significant disputed decisions may receive human review consistent with legal duties and service nature.
7. Reasons
Where required by applicable law or appropriate, affected users receive essential information on the measure, relevant content and available challenge options, subject to legal or security exceptions.
8. Evidence retention
Information needed to document reports, decisions and disputes may be retained proportionately for legal duties, audit, defence and abuse prevention.
9. Commercial neutrality
Moderation decisions cannot be purchased. Advertising or Business customers are subject to the same substantive content rules.
10. Authorities
Orders and requests from competent authorities are handled under applicable law and internal verification/traceability procedures.
